Perspective drawing of a single shelter - rendered by Jan Stawiarski

This design was proposed for a competition sponsored by FINSA, challenging participants to address Cardiff’s growing homelessness crisis with a mobile shelter that could be transported on a flatbed lorry.
The proposal features a modular pod designed for easy assembly by its residents. It can function independently or combine with other units to foster a temporary sense of community. Emphasizing warmth and protection, the design intentionally keeps the insulation visible within the walls and roof, highlighting its functional and aesthetic role.
