Iris Hansen is a maker and designer based in London, UK, with a practice that spans art and architecture. She holds a Master’s in Architecture from the AA School of Architecture and a BSc in Architecture from the University of Cardiff. Iris' work centres on ruralism, convivial place-making, and sustainable material cultures, exploring the intricate relationship between landscapes, people, and craftsmanship. She is the founder of Studio HIDE, a small investigative design studio through which she collaborates with artisans such as glassblowers, foresters, and beekeepers to explore materials like wood, glass, and wax and their connections to place. Advocating for a practice deeply rooted in its place, Iris aims to reconnect people with their landscapes through design, strategy, and narrative building.
