The theme of distortion emerged from an exploration of identity and perception. Inspired by André Kertész’s Distortionsseries (1933), the project reimagines his warped mirrors through a custom tool: an amorphous, hand-blown glass lens replacing the traditional camera lens. This lens was used to capture portraits of friends and family, with the bulbous glass announcing its transformative impact on both the subject and the resulting image.
